Brian D. Knight (Insurance Representative) - Brian has 40+ years’ experience in the insurance industry in Canada & the U.S. Specifically with Prudential of America and Canada Life & Affiliates. Brian became a partner in The Investment Center, one of the largest brokerage operations in Ontario, Canada. His participation resulted in moving the firm’s independent agent brokers from 52 to 600+, with his expertise including recruitment, training and ongoing development of large sales forces.

In the U.S., Brian helped found a Medical Information Technology company called TotalMed, offering electronic medical record application for rural hospitals & physician services.  He continues to consult in this area as well as medical practice efficiencies.


Fred C. Lane, MD, FACS (Physician Representative) - Graduate of Davidson College and Wake Forest University Medical School (Reynolds Scholar). Trained in surgery at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston and a research fellow in Immunology at Harvard Medical School. Served as Dean of Students at Harvard Medical School and directed a comprehensive study of surgical services in the VA for the National Academy of Sciences. Served as a Senior Surgeon-Research at National Cancer Institute. Practiced general and oncologic surgery.

Following his retirement from surgical practice, Dr. Lane served as Co-founder and CEO of Managed Health Systems, Inc., in London, UK. MHS developed a computer based medical information system and electronic medical record to support physicians and other health care providers at point of service. Dr. Lane has served as consultant to numerous startup companies.
Currently serves as Founder and CEO of PACES (Patient Centered Systems) International, Inc.; and Co-founder, Director of Perio-Imaging Inc.

Tammy Chaney Lordi -Tammy has 25+ years’ experience in working in the professional medical environment with a national/international medical specialty association, a state medical association, and state program for intervention for nurses - all with focus on marketing, organization, leadership and policy development and management. Tammy was Director of the Board of Directors & Corporate Partnership (all major medical industry – medical device and pharmaceutical) Activities of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida for 15 years. Tammy worked directly with the physician leadership as well as directed physician liaison activities with sister medical societies. Tammy managed the Strategic Planning Conference (to update and report on status of association strategic plan) and the Leadership Development Conference (identifies future physician leaders for association). Tammy has also worked for the Florida Medical Association in areas of physician leadership and AMA liaison activities as well as House of Delegates. Tammy has worked for Intervention Project for Nurses, a professional nurses association.

Myriam Allende-Vigo, MD, FACE (Local Physician Leader) - Dr. Allende-Vigo is a practicing clinical endocrinologist in the Puerto Rican community and leading advocate representing Puerto Rico in other medical forums such as medical specialty societies, etc. Dr. Allende-Vigo is a well-respected practicing physician recognized for her leadership qualities and advocacy for the medical community of Puerto Rico.
